BIOGRAPHY
JASON JOBST, was born in humble beginnings in Memphis, TN. His parents struggled to make it in more ways than one. He remembers thought that music was always in the background. He later began teaching himself how to play on his step-fathers guitar and would sing lead vocals in church at 15 yrs of age. At that time people would often joke and say that his voice resembled Bob Dylan. However, his voice matured, he kept singing and its a good thing he did.
Although Jason’s parents were not musicians he had
music all around him since his godfather Jimi Jamison
was the famous Memphis vocalist from the 80's rock
band Survivor. Later Jason would spend over 10 years as the worship pastor of his church attempting to use his talent for a greater purpose.
During this 10 years Jason found a love of the craft of writing songs but just couldn’t seem to fit in. Charity, his wife and native Texan would always say he had a voice for country music. In 2010 the mortgage crash forced Jason to relocate his family to Plano, TX. For the next few years he would find work in music very little except for the occisional church.
On a whim, Jason played his first open mic with Texas Music Network and that set the stage for his growth into the Texas Country Music industry. Today Jason writes songs and is currently recording them in studio for release.
